How we fly
Today a pilot flies every inspection on site, under the EU drone rules, and every flight is insured. From 2027 the network is planned to fly on its own under a permit, with a pilot following every flight.

Inspections
The first jobs are in November 2026.
- A pilot at the buildingEvery inspection is flown by a pilot standing at the building, with the drone in sight the whole time.
- EU open category, A2We fly under the EU drone rules for the open category, subcategory A2. They set how high we may fly, at most 120 metres, and how far we keep from people who are not part of the job.
- InsuredEvery flight is covered by liability insurance.
- The weather decidesWe do not fly in rain, strong wind or fog. We agree the time with you and move the flight if the weather turns.
- The camera stays on your buildingWe photograph the building you ordered, not the windows or yards next to it.
- What you getThe pictures, thermal pictures where they help, and a short note on what needs fixing now and what can wait.
- A permit for every siteNetwork drones will fly beyond the pilot’s sight. That needs a permit from the Estonian Transport Administration in the EU specific category, based on a risk assessment called SORA.
- The first application is filedWe have filed the SORA application for our first site. It is not granted yet. Each new site will need its own permit.
- A pilot follows every flightFlights will be automatic. A trained pilot will follow each one from a control room and can take over at any moment.
- A parachute on every droneIf something fails, the parachute opens and the drone comes down slowly.
- Insured before the first flightLiability insurance will be in place before the first network flight.
- Privacy built inThe camera will point down and look sideways only at a building someone ordered. People and number plates will be blurred. Safety and privacy
